All the snappy website copy in the world won’t persuade visitors to buy … if they can’t read it.
I might be wrong. Possibly the strategy of showing obfuscated text to visitors is a way to drive engagement. The Awareness-Confusion-Resignation-Purchase framework.
Possibly forcing visitors to squint at the screen, resize their browser, pinch and zoom is the way to draw them in to your brand story.
I doubt it, though. Probably your website makes more money when people can read it.
Here's what you can do
Don’t go smaller than 16px on mobile. If you find yourself needing to use smaller type to fit everything in, say less.
And whenever you put text over images, use an overlay:
