Let’s talk about SaaS.
More specifically, let’s talk about these flat illustrated people that seem to find their way onto every SaaS website:
I mean, everywhere:
These visuals don’t help your visitors understand your product, or how it can solve their problems. They don’t instill trust, or paint a picture of a desirable outcome. And they certainly don’t set you apart from the competition.
Here's what you can do
Get rid of them, please.
(Big name brands like Zendesk, Airtable, and Asana, who set this trend, have already abandoned it. Here’s historical evidence - compare to their websites today.)
Replace the flat SaaS people with images of your product, or pictures of real customers, or illustrations that actually demonstrate how your product solves an important problem.
Or just blank space, honestly - that will draw attention to your headings, which say more than a generic piece of clip art ever could.
